I’m an assistant professor in the Department of Geography, Media, and Communication at Karlstad University; and an associate professor in the Department of Media and Social Sciences at the University of Stavanger.

My research investigates digital journalism, audience engagement, gamified processes, and the structural changes of the datafied society. It has been published in academic journals such as Digital Journalism, Journalism Studies, Convergence, and Television and New Media. I teach (and have taught) several courses focusing on media production and media theory.
